Dr. Ralph and Mary Cram Medical Center
The Albion Health Care Alliance owns and operates the Dr. Ralph and Mary Cram Medical Center. When the Albion Community Hospital closed after 95 years, in 2002, community members and Albion College representatives came together to develop a health care center. In 2003, the center was opened. In 2013, the center was re-named after long-time Albion physician, Dr. Ralph Cram and his wife, Mary. He was known for delivering babies-more than 3,000, in fact! She was his first nurse. They were both very involved in community work. She passed away in 2012; he in 2022. Their legacy of community support lives on in the Cram Medical Center.
