Feeding Our Neighbors
Albion Health Care Alliance is proud to address food insecurity in our community through Community Table of Albion. Community Table of Albion includes both drive-through distribution as well as a walk-in food pantry. Both of these programs would be impossible without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, and partners!
Drive-Through
The Community Table of Albion drive-through distribution is offered the second, third, and fourth Tuesday of each month from 3-5pm. The Community Table is located on the west side of Albion College's Wesley Hall, 705 E. Michigan Avenue in Albion. To participate in this program, enter its driveway through the marked gate on Bidwell Street, north of Michigan Avenue. You'll get a box of food, based on the number of people in your household. You can also pick up a box of food for one additional household, or recipients can carpool.
Food Pantry
Community Table of Albion's food pantry occurs on the first and third Friday of each month from 1-3pm, also at Wesley Hall. Please park behind the building and enter through the building's back doors (look for the Community Table of Albion sign).
Who We Help
More local families received help from these food programs in 2023 than ever before. On average, we serve 450 households through our drive-through distribution and nearly 100 households at our pantry each month. Food insecurity continues to be a challenge in Albion, where 29% of all Albion’s residents and 45% of Albion’s children live below the poverty line.
