Cold Weather
The Albion Health Care Alliance wants to remind you to stay safe during cold weather.
Follow these tips:
Limit or avoid time outdoors.
Dress in loose layers and cover exposed skin, when outdoors.
Consume hot foods and warm drinks, but avoid caffeine and alcohol.
Check on family, friends, and neighbors.
Bring your pets inside.

If you do spend any time outside, pay attention to your body. You may experience hypothermia, which is when your body loses heat quicker than it can produce it.
Warning signs include:
Shivering
Confusion
Difficulty speaking
Sleepiness
Stiff muscles
Seek medical care immediately if you experience these symptoms.
