2021 - Note: The information below is somewhat dated, however it shows how far we have come. The number one need that was identified in the survey was for an After Hours Services: Urgent & Primary. There is now an Express Care Clinic in Albion due to a partnership with Oaklawn Hospital and Albion College. There was a need for a local eye doctor mentioned, and we will soon be announcing one coming to the Ralph and Mary Cram Medical Center at 115 Market Place, the home of Albion Health Care Alliance.
Mental Health was mentioned as a need and there have been some new coalitions forming about Mental Health in Albion, and some of them in conjunction with the Faith Community. There were some articles posted recently in The Recorder about these summits, and they can be found by clicking here.
Albion Health Care Alliance is also actively engaged with organizing and promoting several COVID-19 Vaccine Micro-Clinics during the summer of 2021.

- Thursday, July 22, 3:00p - 6:00p.m. @ Kellogg Community College, 450 North Ave, Battle Creek. Pfizer vaccine, 12 years and older, J&J vaccine for 18 years and older upon request. No appointment necessary.
- Tuesday, July 27, 3:00p – 6:00p.m. @ Minges Creek Parking Lot, 5700 Beckley Rd, Battle Creek. Pfizer vaccine, 12 years and older, J&J vaccine for 18 years and older upon request. No appointment necessary
- August 3 – Maple Grove & Oak Meadows Apartments Clinic - Afternoon
- August 4 – Albion Clinic with CCHD (Opportunity Highschool) – 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- August 7 – Corner to Corner Block Party– 2:00-5:00 p.m. - Maurice Barry
- August 23 - Back to School event – 4:00-6:30 pm. - Vivian Davis

Archived information: Seeking to assure that we are focused on the most significant health care needs of the Albion community, the Albion Health Care Alliance partnered with several community organizations in 2015- 2016 to produce a health needs survey. This assessment was designed to help us identify gaps in healthcare service and the barriers that face our community in seeking to live healthier, happier lives.

The response to this needs survey is a ‘work in progress’ with a number of immediate action steps identified in this presentation – and with other projects and solutions that will require time, partnership, and new resources to achieve. The Albion Health Care Alliance is committed to providing leadership and bringing creative solutions to the health needs of our community.
